Are you the old dad

Do you regret what you did to us
Or are you just the same
Still an alcoholic
Did death make you better
Or did it make you worse
I bet you still hate us
I bet you really aren’t proud
I bet every single mistake we have made you have picked up on
Maybe like everyone else you blame your suicide on us, like we pushed you to it
Maybe we did, but you pushed us to the edge everyday
You dragged yourself down, but that was never enough, you had to take us down with you
And that hurt
So much
I can never forgive you for what you did
Never
But that doesn’t mean I don’t love you and miss you
I hated who you became, but you were my dad
And you are gone, its the 2 year anniversary soon, I’m 16 in October, you were an alcoholic for a lot of my life
Didn’t I deserve a dad? Was I that bad?
